The Message screen is used to communicate directly with the road authority if you have any queries about your permit request. The road authority can also send messages back to you here with any replies or questions of their own.
Please read the sections below for information on:
Composing and Receiving Messages
The Message screen will look like this:
Messages from the road authority will appear on the left of the screen, while messages you have sent are shown on the right.
To send a new message, enter the text into the Enter Message field. You have the option to attach a file to your message if you like by clicking the Attach a File button (any files sent will be included on the Documents screen as ad-hoc documents). Once the message is ready, click the Send button at the bottom right to submit it to the road authority.
You will receive an email notification when you receive messages, and PermitMonitor will also show a notification beneath the Messages button to alert you if you have received a message.
Message Attachments
Only one file can be attached to each outgoing message. A secondary attachment upload will override the first one. If more ad-hoc documents need to be sent, they will need to be included on separate messages.
The accepted file types are: .jpg, .png, .doc, .docx, .xls, .pdf and .txt.
Attachments can be up to 20MB in size.
