What do I need to do after my permit has been approved?

After the permit has been approved, you will need to update the road authority via PermitMonitor as your works progress. This can be done via the status bar at the top left of the screen.

When you are getting ready to begin, click the status bar to update from "Approved" to "Works Pending":

When the works commence, the status should be updated from "Works Pending" to "Works In Progress". Some road authorities will also prompt you to provide a reason for the works starting on the date they did (or if the date is different from what was agreed):


If the works are cancelled after the permit has been approved, you can also change the status to "Works Cancelled" at this stage to show the works did not go ahead.

When the works are finished, the status should be updated from "Works in Progress" to "Works Completed". Some road authorities will also prompt you to provide a reason for the works finishing on the date they did (or if the date is different from what was agreed):


If the works are abandoned after starting, you can also change the status to "Works Abandoned" at this stage to show the works did not go ahead.
